Declaration of Independence
"The history of the present king of great Britain is a history of unremitting injuries and usurpations among which appears no solitary fact to contradict the uniform tenor of the rest but all have in direct object the establishment of an abused tyranny over these states."
As clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence the king did many things that caused the colonists to rise up and revolt. What do you think it would take in modern society for there to be another revolt? What would the government have to do to cause the American people, or you personally, to revolt? Could it be destroying freedom of speech or removing the right to privacy?
